CIPPT offers three designations that are registered with SAQA. On achieving a designation, the CIPPT Senior Administrator will upload your designation to the NLRD. You may then use the relevant post-nominal letters for your designation (see below).

To apply for a designation, you must have an underlying qualification (minimum NQF L7) as well as relevant work experience (see designation criteria). Should you not meet the minimum qualification criteria, then RPL may be an option to consider. In line with SAQA guidelines, the recognition of prior learning (RPL) is accommodated for by means of a Board Examination/Assessment.
