Professional Designations Criteria

Professional OD Practitioner (CIPPT)

Underlying Qualification(s)

NQF Level 7:

Bachelor’s degree, or
Advanced Diploma, or
Occupational Certificate, or
Board/Admission Examination/Assessment (RPL Component)

Practical/Workplace ExperienceMinimum 12 months’ appropriate work experience in the ETD sector.
Criteria for retaining the professional designationComplete and record a minimum of 120 points of relevant professional development activities during
a three – year rolling cycle.

Master OD Practitioner (CIPPT)

Underlying Qualification(s)

NQF Level 8:

Bachelor’s Honours degree, or
Bachelor’s professional’s degree, or
Occupational Certificate, or
Postgraduate Diploma, or
Board/Admission Examination/Assessment (RPL Component)

Practical/Workplace ExperienceMinimum 24 months’ appropriate work experience in the ETD sector.
Criteria for retaining the professional designationComplete and record a minimum of 120 points of relevant professional development activities during a
three – year rolling cycle.

Fellow OD Practitioner (CIPPT)

Underlying Qualification(s)

NQF Level 9:

Bachelor’s Honours degree, or
Bachelor’s Professional degree, or
Occupational Certificate, or
Postgraduate Diploma, or
Board/Admission Examination/Assessment (RPL Component)

Practical/Workplace ExperienceMinimum 36 months’ appropriate work experience in the ETD sector.
